Message wheel to outside wheel on a turn. When turning at speed the sway bar is "twisted". This torsion bar effect adds rate to the outside spring while releasing pressure on the inside spring.

It should not affect your steering geometry except for that fact that the lack of a bar allows a wider arc of travel for the hub... both up and down. More extreme changes associated with camber, toe and caster will be present; but nothing to explain your symptoms.

The steering rack together with the left and right tie rod ends "holds the two front wheels [together] straight"; and it sounds like you have modified this part of your suspension/steering geometry.
